Project Experience

Adobe Three High-Rise Towers, San Jose, CA: Designed the redundant primary high-voltage multi-substation systems within the three high-rise towers. Designed a complex grounding grid that penetrated the mat slab foundation and entered the water table under each of the towers. Design of electrical systems in each tower, which included an emergency generator system , lighting and all specialized facilities power requirements. 2,380,000 SF

Microsoft, Mountain View, CA: Design of a five-building, technology consolidation campus which included 10 MVA, primary metered 12 KV, 15,000 SF onsite data center and N+1 redundancy emergency power requirement, 205 R&D labs and computer rooms. Prepared detailed design document packages of engineered drawings and specifications for procurement and construction Performed system analysis, value engineering assessments and energy compliance electrical analysis, including all electrical engineering calculations. Design and implementation of a high-voltage substation. 1,355,000 SF total. Number of labs: 205 R&D Labs.

Novellus, San Jose, CA: Design of a 100,000 SF clean room facility with 12 labs used for training purposes. Designed 90,000 SF Class 1 clean room facility including tool fit‑up and tool hook‑up. Design of power distribution system. Electrical design engineering and calculations of power cable, lighting and grounding system. Provided California Title 24 Energy Code study. 190,000 SF

Intel Corporation, Chandler, AZ: Design and construction service for upgrades of power distribution system, one substation with tie breaker. Engineering and calculations of power cable, lighting and grounding, life safety and special systems for Buildings C3, C4, C10, C11 and Fab 6 (clean room). Short circuit analysis and breaker coordination study for the engineering department. Migrated control devices for 21 HVAC, VFD/AFD and exhaust fan units from Johnson Control to NCU/NEU FMS system. Designed and developed P&D, controls point to point diagram, controls wiring and riser diagrams. 132,000 SF
Santa Clara, CA: Lead a team of 10 employees to provide tool hookup / fit-up service for 300 tools for Buildings 1,2,3 & 4. Performed feasibility study for new Bldg 5 to add an additional power substation and secondary substations.

Applied Materials Corporation, Santa Clara, CA: Lead a team of six employees to provide tool hooks up and fit up services for Apps Lab.

Motorola Corporation, San Jose, CA: Addition of a new substation, clean room and Motor Control Center. Providing lighting, power, special systems design and construction administration for facility system upgrades.

Chandler Medical Center Hospital, Chandler, AZ: Complete electrical design and engineering of the hospital facility with N+1 Redundancy with primary power distribution system.

Scottsdale North Hospital, Scottsdale, AZ: Complete electrical design/engineering modification package for special systems, chiller and HVAC installation and landscape/exterior lighting.

Episil, Tai Nan, Taiwan: Design of 161 KV GIS, transmission substation with multiple 22.8 KV supporting substations for a large facility. Design included N+1 redundancy emergency power requirements. Prepared detailed design document packages of engineered drawings and specifications for procurement and construction. Performed system analysis and the electrical engineering calculations. 2,237,000 SF
