BCE's Technology division focuses exclusively on technology design and project management. Our experience has shown us that MEP and IT functions work best when delivered hand-in-hand.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems in a major project. Co-ordinate with all contractors in execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC works for the project. Ensure the works comply with the contract documents, drawings and specifications. Track and control construction costs against the project budget to avoid cost overruns. Direct and monitor the progress of construction activities through construction supervisors. Preparation and submission of monthly progress reports to management.
BCE's Technology service component has grown alongside the continually increasing need to integrate IT-related systems with the Architectural and MEP design elements of high tech buildings. These buildings range from new construction, modernization projects and expansions - all with the need for enhanced, up-to-date technology. While IT consultants typically report directly to client IT department heads, the MEP firm's client is often the Architectural firm. This can produce significant coordination issues with respect to the overall design, documentation and construction administration. Combined MEP and Technology can virtually eliminate this complication in the delivery process.
